| Bio: |   Brushes from Papaya Fairytale Fall brush pack  Critique, observations, commentary on the "pop culture" at large. And, often enough, details about my (boring) life. Book recommendations, craft projects, music reviews, a general to-do list, a travelogue, a vocabulary lesson, a smattering of graphic design projects (self-taught at Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro). I've just "graduated" from college. (This means I'm still taking summer classes) And I'm starting a new job. i know I'm not supposed to love things, but I love my Zune and I want a Blackberry Curve so bad. I also love diamonds (conflict-free of course) and perfecting eyeshadow methods (MAC and Bourgeois are my preferred medium). I have two cats, Aesop and Molly. Aesop is the ugly one and Molly is the fat one. One can't be both beautiful and thin in my world. I live with my partner of 5+ years. He's a great, great person. My family is hilarious. My mom and dad bicker...they should have a sitcom. My sister is a great, social person with goodhearted, fun qualities. I don't know my family other than my immediate family. I'm not that extroverted. My friends are the most valuable thing in my life, even if we don't talk everyday. It's so important to have people who "get" you and to build those connections through activities and conversations. I find it challenging to meet people and make friends. I may have a mild form of social anxiety but I've never been diagnosed or medicated for this condition. I'm looking for a career where I can serve people and still pay my bills. At this point, I qualify for food stamps, working full-time. Ah, social service. I may go on to a master's program in Fine Arts (non-fiction) or Social Work. I am also still considering a Physician's Assistant program. I took all the classes but I found the atmosphere stuffy and uppity. I would love to teach community health, like Sex Ed or Tobacco Cessation. I would go to school forever if I could make minimum wage doing it. But those pesky student loans pile up. I am also a crafter in my spare time. I have sewed before but I suck at it. I never even attempted something with a zipper. I stencil. I bead. I am going to begin resin crafting. I'm interested in woodburning, metalsmithing and journal making. I lurk on Craftster. I will never scrapbook. I would like to learn how to draw with oil pastels. I would love to travel to Europe (especially Greece and Spain). I would love to get a dog but I think it's mean to keep a dog (of any size) in an apartment. | ||
